Prayer Walks ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Prayer Walks mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account details — username and optional email address when you register.
• Location data — GPS coordinates recorded during walking sessions. This data is stored on our servers and used to calculate your coverage and session statistics.
• Session records — distance, duration, and timestamps of your walks.
• Group activity — the churches, branches, and teams you join, and your role within them.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the app — tracking walks, displaying coverage maps, and showing session history.
• To enable group features — sharing aggregated walk statistics within your church, branch, or team.
• To send password-reset codes to your email address when you request them.
• To improve the app based on usage patterns.

Location Data

Location tracking is only active during a walk session that you explicitly start. We do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed. Your GPS route points are stored securely and are only visible to you and admins of groups you belong to (in the form of aggregated coverage statistics — not individual route replays).

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• With other members of your church, branch, or team — limited to aggregated walk statistics (total walks, total distance).
• With service providers who help us operate the app (e.g. hosting, email delivery), under confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and walk history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes and are never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Prayer Walks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
